- Valan Luca is in Illian at the Great Square of Tammaz when the Hunters of the Horn take their oaths. (TFoH,Ch36)
- Valan Luca is thrown out of Sienda and heavily fined when one of Cerandin's giant boar-horses wrecks The King's Lancer. (TFoH,Ch13)
- Elayne, Nynaeve, Thom and Juilin pass Valan Luca's camp. Nynaeve insults him by throwing a penny at him. (TFoH,Ch13)
- Valan Luca agrees to let Elayne, Nynaeve, Thom and Juilin join his circus, but they must pay heavily and perform in the show. (TFoH,Ch17)
- Latelle attacks Nynaeve with a stick when the Chavanas flirt with her. After the resulting melee, Valan Luca is furious and blames everyone. (TFoH,Ch24)
