[Amys] and [Sorilea] are furious and [Berelain|Berelain sur Paendrag] has virtually gone into hiding.[1] Only [Rhuarc] behaves normally. Three [Shaido] [Wise Ones|Aiel], [Therava|therava], [Emerys|emerys] and [Sevanna|sevanna] arrive. [Therava|therava] and [Emerys|emerys] say that [Sevanna|sevanna] is a [Wise One|Aiel][2] so by custom they are welcome in the [Wise Ones|Aiel]' tents, but their presence increases the tension. [Amys], [Malindhe|malindhe] and [Cosain|cosain] are clearly unhappy. [Sevanna|sevanna] watches [Egwene|Egwene alVere] a lot. Two days later [Aeron|aeron] talks three [Maidens|Maidens of the Spear] into sneaking into Lady [Arilyn|Arilyn Dhulaine]'s palace. The [Aes Sedai] catch them and beat them. The [Wise Ones|Aiel] are particularly hard on [Surandha|surandha] and the other apprentices. [Egwene|Egwene alVere] meets [Gawyn|Gawyn Trakand] at [The Long Man|../geography/cairhien/cairhien/long_man] every morning. On the third day [Egwene|Egwene alVere] goes to visit [Sea Folk] ship. The [Windfinder|Sea Folk][3] dumps her back in the river. Two others give her a message to tell the other that you are all refused passage.[4] In anger she dumps them in the river, too. The fifth night after [Rand|Rand alThor] leaves, [Bair] accompanies [Egwene|Egwene alVere] to %%ot [Tel'aran'rhiod|TelAranRhiod]%% as a test. The next night [Amys] does the same. On the seventh night, [Egwene|Egwene alVere] prepares for the meeting with [Salidar Aes Sedai]. She wishes she could talk to [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] and [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] beforehand, but she is certain that the [Dream|TelAranRhiod] of breaking objects[5] means that things will go badly wrong if she does. She goes to sleep.

The [Aes Sedai] summon [Egwene|Egwene alVere] to come to [Salidar] as fast as possible. [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] creates a map showing her the way. [Egwene|Egwene alVere] is terrified, thinking that they found out she was masquerading as [Aes Sedai]. She says she will come as quickly as possible, but it is a long way. The [Aes Sedai] ask the [Wise Ones|Aiel] to teach her to [Travel|Weaves] through %%ot [Tel'aran'rhiod|TelAranRhiod]%% in the flesh.
