They [Travel|http://photeus.com/ewot/main/true_source/weaves.html#t] to [Elayne|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/e/elayne.html] 's tent. She thinks [Siuan|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/s/siuan.html] would kill to be able to [Travel|http://photeus.com/ewot/main/true_source/weaves.html#t] . [Elayne|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/e/elayne.html] and [Birgitte|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/b/birgitte.html] are there. There is a commotion and a messenger arrives with news of the attack on [Caemlyn|http://photeus.com/ewot/geography/andor/caemlyn/index.html] , not by [Jarid Sarand|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/j/jarid.html] , but an army of [Trollocs|http://photeus.com/ewot/creatures/trollocs/index.html] . Captain [Guybon|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/c/charlz_guybon.html] just arrived via gateway with [Serinia|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/s/serinia.html] . They go to the Traveling ground where men are bringing through the dragons. [Egwene|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/e/egwene.html] sends [Gawyn|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/g/gawyn.html] with orders to get [Aes Sedai|http://photeus.com/ewot/organizations/aes_sedai/index.html] and [Bryne|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/b/bryne.html] 's soldiers to [Caemlyn|http://photeus.com/ewot/geography/andor/caemlyn/index.html] to help. [Rand|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/r/rand.html] wonders where [Perrin|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/op/perrin.html] got his wonderful hammer; he knows the [Asha'man|http://photeus.com/ewot/organizations/ashaman.html] have been making Power-wrought weapons. [Rand|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/r/rand.html] describes dealing with his memories from [Lews Therin|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/hist/ltt.html] and how that resolved. He is certain that those memories are critical for winning the [Last Battle|http://photeus.com/ewot/main/creator.html] . [Perrin|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/op/perrin.html] is worried that the gathered armies will collide. They are very nervous with [Rand|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/r/rand.html] but [Perrin|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/op/perrin.html] calms them. [Rand|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/r/rand.html] thinks he is a good leader. A messenger boy arrives in a rush and [Perrin|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/op/perrin.html] sends him to find [Faile|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/f/faile.html] . The message was that [Caemlyn|http://photeus.com/ewot/geography/andor/caemlyn/index.html] fell to the [Trollocs|http://photeus.com/ewot/creatures/trollocs/index.html] . [Rand|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/r/rand.html] is not surprised. He expected the [Shadow|http://photeus.com/ewot/main/creator.html] to do something to disrupt their meeting and suspects [Demandred|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/d/demandred.html] . [Rand|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/r/rand.html] can feel [Elayne|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/e/elayne.html] and [Min|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/m/min.html] , and he realizes that [Aviendha|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/a/aviendha.html] is now nearby as well. He cannot let [Elayne|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/e/elayne.html] abandon their meeting. Thinking how he can manipulate the situation, he thinks perhaps the attack will make [Elayne|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/e/elayne.html] more amenable to his plan. [Perrin|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/op/perrin.html] wonders how the [Trollocs|http://photeus.com/ewot/creatures/trollocs/index.html] entered [Caemlyn|http://photeus.com/ewot/geography/andor/caemlyn/index.html] . [Rand|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/r/rand.html] says via [Waygate|http://photeus.com/ewot/creatures/ogier/ways.html] . They cannot survive [Traveling|http://photeus.com/ewot/main/true_source/weaves.html#t] . Only ''gholam'' can,%%sup 4/% and [Aginor|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/a/aginor.html] only made a few. [Perrin|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/op/perrin.html] says they have to do something about [Caemlyn|http://photeus.com/ewot/geography/andor/caemlyn/index.html] . Otherwise, they will have the [Trollocs|http://photeus.com/ewot/creatures/trollocs/index.html] at their backs. [Rand|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/r/rand.html] blames himself, [Lews Therin|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/hist/ltt.html] , for [Demandred|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/d/demandred.html] turning to the [Shadow|http://photeus.com/ewot/main/creator.html] . [Lews Therin|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/hist/ltt.html] competed instead of supporting. [Rand|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/r/rand.html] thinks it is ironic that the [Dark One|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/s/shaitan.html] 's taint is what brought on [Lews Therin|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/hist/ltt.html] 's memories which will ultimately lead to the [Dark One|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/s/shaitan.html] 's downfall. The last time [Lews Therin|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/hist/ltt.html] 's destroyed them. This time, [Rand|http://photeus.com/ewot/characters/r/rand.html] 's will save them.
