He is tall with sun darkened skin. His red hair is short with a tail in back. He has blue eyes. (TGH,Ch28)

- Ingtar and his party happen upon Urien in Kinslayer's Dagger. He is looking for He Who Comes With the Dawn. He tells Verin a bit about Rhuidean. (TGH,Ch28)
- In the Royal Palace Sulin leads the Maidens and Urien leads the Red Shields who guard Rand. (LoC,Ch16)
- Sulin and Urien lead the Aiel escort that accompanies Rand when he Travels to the Sun Palace in Cairhien. (LoC,Ch17)
- Sulin and her Maidens and Urien and his Red Shields accompany Rand back to Caemlyn. (LoC,Ch19)
- Sulin, Jalani, Urien and other Aiel talk with Elder Haman, Covril and Erith while they wait for Rand. Rand sends them away when he arrives. (LoC,Ch20)
