She is old enough to be Egwene's grandmother. (TDR,Ch25) She has a friendly face with dark hair and gray eyes. (TDR,Ch51) She is handsome, with dark eyes. (TSR,Ch5) She is a head taller than Moiraine. (TSR,Ch6)
Chronology (Possible Spoilers)#
- Amico, Asne, Berylla Naron, Chesmal, Eldrith, Falion, Ispan, Jeaine, Joiya Byir, Marillin, Rianna Andomeran and Temaile Kinderode flee the White Tower with Liandrin exposing themselves as Black Ajah. They take several ter'angreal with them. (TDR,Ch13)
- Liandrin, Rianna, Amico and Joiya Byir capture Egwene, Elayne and Nynaeve. (TDR,Ch51)
- In Tel'aran'rhiod, Egwene finds Joiya in the Heart of the Stone and shields her. (TDR,Ch54)
- The girls recover two of the missing ter'angreal, an amber plaque and an iron disc, from Amico and Joiya. (TSR,Ch11)
- Egwene and Nynaeve question Amico and Joiya. Joiya claims that Liandrin intends to free Mazrim Taim, lead him on a path of destruction, and blame it on Rand. (TSR,Ch5)
- Moiraine sends Amico and Joiya back to their cells. (TSR,Ch6)
- Egwene and Nynaeve continue to question Amico and Joiya but learn nothing new. (TSR,Ch9)
- During the Shadowspawn attack, Isam assassinates Amico and Joiya in their cells. Their throats are messily cut and their tongues are nailed to the door. (TSR,Ch12, WH,Ch22)
