The moon is waning, not far past full. [Rand|Rand alThor] shivers. He looks up and sees [Selene|Lanfear] with his saddlebags. He thought they were beside him.[1] [Hurin] runs up saying he spotted a fire. [Rand|Rand alThor] and [Loial] agree to go after the [Horn|Horn of Valere]. They leave with [ Red|../creatures/horses/red] and [Loial]'s horse. [Loial] tells [Rand|Rand alThor] that [''alantin''|../history/compleat.html#alantin] is short for [''tia avende alantin''|../../history/compleat.html#phTiaAvende] = Brother to the Trees. [Rand|Rand alThor] holds the void as they approach the camp. [Rand|Rand alThor] and [Loial] sneak past the guard and steal back the [Horn|Horn of Valere] and the [ruby dagger|Ruby Dagger]. [Rand|Rand alThor] sticks the [ruby dagger|Ruby Dagger] in his belt, not wanting to touch it. As they leave, [Fain|Padan Fain] wakes and yells, "You're hiding from me."[2] [Rand|Rand alThor] sends [Loial] ahead and kills several of the [Trollocs] that chase him. They return to their camp and [Selene|Lanfear] opens the chest. She reads the inscription, [''Tia mi aven Moridin isainde vadin''|../history/compleat.html#phTiaMi] = The grave is no bar to my call. [Rand|Rand alThor] says he will take the [Horn|Horn of Valere] to Lord [Agelmar|Agelmar Jagad] in [Shienar]. Again, [Selene|Lanfear] prods [Rand|Rand alThor] about glory. She says they have to go forward to [Cairhien|Cairhien (Country)] because [Fain|Padan Fain]'s Friends of the Dark will be hunting them.[3] [Rand|Rand alThor] shows the [ruby dagger|Ruby Dagger] to [Selene|Lanfear] and tells her it is from [Shadar Logoth|Aridhol (City)]. [Loial] did not know what was wrong with [Mat|Matrim Cauthon]. She is scared of it and tells him to throw it away. He says he has to bring it to [Mat|Matrim Cauthon] and puts it in the chest with the [Horn|Horn of Valere].
