Mistress [Harfor|reene_harfor] is there with a couple of maids and [Halwin Norry], [Careane|Careane Fransi], [Sareitha|Sareitha Tomares] and [Doilin Mellar|Daved Hanlon]. [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] no longer feels the need to protect [Rand|Rand alThor]'s babes but she still allows the rumor that they are [Mellar|Daved Hanlon]'s. She is now sure he is a villain.[1] The mercenaries are [Evard Cordwyn], [Aldred Gomaisen], and [Hafeen Bakuvun]. [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] sends [Mellar|Daved Hanlon] away, clearly annoying him. The mercenaries requested the audience because they have been losing men and want more money. [Cordwyn|evard_cordwyn] pinches the maids. [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] still needs them even with the men [Guybon|charlz_guybon] brought. Even so, [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] angrily refuses to give in. [Sareitha|Sareitha Tomares] and [Careane|Careane Fransi] remind them that the [White Tower] will back [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] over [Arymilla|Arymilla Marne]. [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] has a hard time believing one of them or [Merilille|Merilille Ceandevin] is [Black Ajah]. The mercenaries leave and [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] asks the [Aes Sedai] and Guardswomen to leave also. [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] weaves [Fire|One Power], [Air|One Power], and a trace of [Water|One Power] to ward against eavesdropping. [Arymilla|Arymilla Marne] and the other High Seats plan to ride into [Caemlyn] soon. [Elenia|Elenia Sarand] and [Naean|Naean Arawn] have pledged to [Arymilla|Arymilla Marne]. Master [Norry|halwin_norry] has found an accomplished cutpurse to try to follow [Mellar|Daved Hanlon]. Instead of hanging, [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] offers him the job of tailing [Mellar|Daved Hanlon] then exile to [Baerlon]. He accepts. She weaves [Spirit|One Power] and lays a [Finder|Weaves#fi][4] on his clothing then sends him away. She is certain [Mellar|../../characters/d/daved_hanlon] was put in place to either spy on her or arrange her kidnapping and she is determined to get his master.
