ToM: An Invitation

Egwene POV#

Egwene enters Tel'aran'rhiod and joins Nynaeve. She is to stand guard in case Mesaana and the Black Ajah attack. She then goes to a meeting hall called the Musician's Way where Amys, Bair and Melaine await. Leane, Yukiri and Seaine are also there using dream ter'angreal that Elayne sent. She may have trouble joining them.[1]

Shielyn din Sabura Night Waters, Renaile and two other Windfinders arrive also using borrowed ter'angreal. Elayne has succeeded in making ones that work like the twisted ring without channeling but Egwene keeps those secret. Renaile seems subservient to the others.[2] At first the three groups are hostile to each other. Egwene takes control of the meeting and lays the platform that the three groups can benefit from each other. She argues the merits of each group training apprentices from the others. Finally, she argues that they must stand united at the Last Battle and against the Seanchan. With a tentative proposal on the table, the Windfinders leave to discuss it. The Wise Ones and Aes Sedai discuss the battle that may come. Egwene is disappointed that there is no word from Nynaeve and Siuan. She tells them that they must accept and guide that changes that are coming. It is the end of an Age. They must deal with the Asha'man as well. A frazzled Siuan arrives suddenly with news that the Black Ajah has attacked.
