An Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah. She had the Foretelling. She was counselor to Queen Mordrellen Mantear, mother of Tigraine Mantear, and later she was Keeper of the Chronicles under Tamra Ospenya.
Physical Description#
She is tall, voluptuous and beautiful with snow white hair. She dresses flamboyantly. At the time of the Aiel War she was rumored to be over three hundred years old. (NS,Ch2)

- About 971 NE, while counselor to Queen Mordrellen Mantear of Andor, Gitara convinces Lord Luc that the outcome of Tarmon Gai'don depends upon him going to the Blight. (LoC,Ch16)
- In 972 NE Gitara tells Tigraine that disaster will befall the world unless she goes to the Three-fold Land, becomes a Maiden of the Spear, and does not return until the Maidens go to Tar Valon. (TSR,Ch34, LoC,Ch16)
- While in the company of Tamra Ospenya, Moiraine and Siuan, Gitara Moroso has a Foretelling that the Dragon has been reborn and drops dead. (NS,Ch2, TGH,Ch8)
