A village on west bank of the Alindrelle. It lies at the foot of the west bridge from Tar Valon. The name is also spelled Dairein. Dairein was burned during the Trolloc Wars, sacked by Artur Hawkwing, looted during the Hundred Years War and burned again during the Aiel War. Every time it was rebuilt.
