- Melanril and another young Tairen lord accompany Weiramon when he meets with Rand and the clan chiefs. (TFoH,Ch42)
- Rand sends Weiramon back to Tear and puts Melanril in charge of the Tairen and Cairhienin forces. (TFoH,Ch43)
- As Mat tries to escape, he encounters the Tairen force led by Melanril and Estean. Talmanes leads the Cairhienin and Daerid Ondin leads the pikemen. (TFoH,Ch43)
