Clan chief of the Taardad Aiel. He was of the Iron Mountain sept. He led the four Aiel clans that invaded the Westlands in the Aiel War. Rand al'Thor's true father.

- Janduin becomes clan chief of the Taardad, the youngest in memory. (TSR,Ch34)
- Janduin leads the Nakai, Reyn, Taardad and Shaarad Aiel across the Spine of the World to avenge the cutting down of Avendoraldera. During the war he fathers Rand al'Thor with Shaiel. (Guide, TSR,Ch34)
- After Shaiel's death, Janduin resigns as clan chief and goes to the Blight where is killed by a man who resembles Shaiel (Luc). (TSR,Ch34)
