__[Egwene|Egwene alVere]__ POV - [Egwene|Egwene alVere] returns to [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara]'s room and tells [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] and her about the mysterious woman in the hall.[1] They head down to the basement under the library to check out "[Else Grinwell]'s" story. The library in the [White Tower] is the greatest in the world. The room is the only one in the hallway with a locked door. [Egwene|Egwene alVere] weakens the chain with [Earth|One Power] then [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] breaks it with a prybar of [Air|One Power]. There are thirteen sacks of various odds and ends. [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] reads names off some of the tags, [Rianna|Rianna Andomeran], [Joiya|Joiya Byir], [Amico|Amico Nagoyin] and [Chesmal|Chesmal Emry]. Each sack contains something relating to the city of [Tear|Tear (City)]. They realize so many obvious signs must have been intentionally left so it is bait for a trap. [Egwene|Egwene alVere] decides to try the [twisted ring] that night to see if it offers any insight. They gather the clues to take them back to [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara]'s room.
