She is plump and merry-eyed. She appears to be in her early twenties though she is nearly fifty. (KoD,Ch14)

- Kara is captured by the Seanchan on Toman Head and made damane. (WH,Ch8)
- Kara is one of the damane captured by Rand's forces in Altara. Rand sends the captured damane and sul'dam to Elayne in Caemlyn. (TPoD,Ch23, WH,Ch8)
- In the Royal Palace, Reanne determines that Kara is ready to have her a'dam removed. (WH,Ch8)
- Reanne continues to work with Kara Defane and Lemore. They still cannot be trusted near sul'dam even though they are not Seanchan. (KoD,Ch14)
