- Rand jumps onto the Spray landing on a sleeping Floran Gelb. Bayle Domon threatens to put him off the boat for sleeping on the job. (TEotW,Ch20)
- He tries to get the crew to take his side, to no avail, against Rand, Mat and Thom. (TEotW,Ch24)
- He is tossed off the ship at Whitebridge by Bayle Domon. He makes his way to The Wayfarer's Rest and tries to tell his story to some of the patrons inside. (TEotW,Ch26)
- In Tanchico, Egeanin hires Floran Gelb to find a'dam and certain women. He mistakenly kidnaps a local minor noble, Lady Leilwin. (TSR,Ch38)
- Gelb meets with Egeanin in the Garden of Silver Breezes. He brings an a'dam and asks for more money to continue his search. (TSR,Ch38)
- Gelb hires several thugs. Mistaking Nynaeve for a sul'dam named Surine, Gelb and his thugs try to kidnap Nynaeve and Elayne, but they wind up with only a severe beating from the two and Egeanin. (TSR,Ch46)
