Here is a reasonably complete bibliography of the North American editions of the Wheel of Time books. Unless otherwise noted they were published under the Tor Books imprint by Tom Doherty Associates. (Click here for an explanation of imprints.) Sagebrush Education Resources and Turtleback Books also publish editions of the Wheel of Time books for schools and other libraries but they are not generally available to the public and we do not include them. What about Orbit and other language editions? Sorry, but the North American editions are about as much as we can bite off. The Wheel of Time books have been translated into two dozen or more languages. All are published with different ISBNs and different cover art. A comprehensive catalogue would be a huge project. If anyone wants to take a stab at it let us know.

The Fantastic Fiction website has a Eurocentric bibliography that lists the Orbit editions.

We are also sticking with hardcopy and e-books. All of the Wheel of Time books are available as audiobooks in abridged and unabridged, CD and cassette formats. There is even a Wheel of Time calendar out there. Again, if you really want a list, get to work, then give us a shout!

A Web of Words: Pattern and Meaning in Robert Jordans A Wheel of Time#

A characteristic of high fantasy literature has been the writing of multi-volume, complex series but these works, including Robert Jordans fantasy epic The Wheel of Time, have attracted little of the critical scrutiny that they deserve.

In a work that Robert Jordan himself encouraged and eagerly anticipated, Heather Attrills A Web of Words starts to rectify that situation by analyzing his great fantasy series.

A lifelong reader of medieval literature, Attrill uses her rich knowledge to explore the role and purpose of Jordan as the epic-style high fantasy author, and that of his online fans, as storytellers and pattern makers.

A Web of Words focuses on the technique of interlacing as the key structuring device of the Wheel of Time to unlock the patterning of Jordans narrative, which is reminiscent of the intricate knot-making characteristic of early Anglo-Saxon art.

Robert Jordan: A Reader's Checklist and Reference Guide#

Last and definitely least, this epistle by Checker Bee Publishing is nothing more than a list of Jordan books with very brief synopses and a short bio. There is nothing in this book that you can't find, done much better, right here at Encyclopaedia WoT.
