! __Perrin__ POV

For three days [Perrin|Perrin Aybara]'s and [Faile|Zarine Bashere]'s parties travel through the [Mountains of Mist], the Sand Hills and the [Westwood|Two Rivers] to the Quarry Road. [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] worries about his family. They live on a farm half a day east of [Emond's Field|Emonds Field] near the [Waterwood|../geography/andor/two_rivers/index]. Besides his father and mother,[1] he has two sisters, [Deselle|deselle_aybara] who is twelve and [Adora|adora_aybara] who is sixteen. His baby brother, [Paet|paetram_aybara], is now nine. There are also his [Uncle Eward|../characters/e/eward_aybara] and [Aunt Magde|../characters/m/magde_aybara] and their children and his [Aunt Neain|../characters/n/neain] and her children. [Uncle Carlin|../characters/c/carlin]'s grave is nearby. [Great Aunt Ealsin|../characters/e/ealsin] also lives with them. He has rarely seen them since being apprenticed to Master [Luhhan|h_luhhan]. He also worries about [Slayer|Isam Mandragoran] being around. [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] leads them to [Tam al'Thor|Tam alThor]'s farm. It is burned. [Bain], [Chiad] and [Gaul] search thoroughly but find nothing. [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] can barely restrain himself from galloping [Stepper|../creatures/horses/stepper] all to way to his farm. They camp nearby. [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] and [Gaul] rise before dawn and ride into [Emond's Field|Emonds Field] to the [Winespring Inn]. [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] can hear [Hu|hu] and [Tad|tad] working in the stable. [Bran al'Vere|../characters/b/bran_alvere] and [Marin al'Vere|../characters/m/m_alvere] are in the common room. They knock over their chairs in surprise startling the cat, [Scratch|../creatures/pets/scratch]. They greet him and [Marin|Marin alVere] asks if [Egwene|Egwene alVere] is okay. He tells them she is safe and that she and [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] are studying to be [Aes Sedai]. [Marin|Marin alVere] says she received three letters from [Egwene|Egwene alVere] making [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] feel guilty since he did not write home at all. He tells her that the girls [Egwene|Egwene alVere] wrote about, [Min|Min Farshaw] and [Elayne|Elayne Trakand], are nice girls. [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] introduces [Gaul]. He tells them he came because of the [Whitecloaks|Children of the Light]. [Bran|Bran alVere] tells him he really should leave. [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] says he plans to give himself up so they will leave. The door bangs open and [Faile|Zarine Bashere], [Bain] and [Chiad] enter. Having overheard his last words, [Faile|Zarine Bashere] angrily confronts [Perrin|Perrin Aybara]. [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] admits that they are after him because he killed [Whitecloaks|Children of the Light]. He wonders if [Geofram Bornhald] or [Jaret Byar] is with the [Whitecloaks|Children of the Light] here. [Marin|Marin alVere] interrupts, mightily embarrassing [Faile|Zarine Bashere], and proper introductions are made. [Bran|Bran alVere] finally tells [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] that his family is dead, killed by [Trollocs].[2] The [Trollocs] are back, terrorizing the whole [Two Rivers]. Taking this news without emotion, [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] asks about  [Rand|Rand alThor]'s and [Mat|Matrim Cauthon]'s families. [Bran|Bran alVere] tells him that [Tam al'Thor|Tam alThor] and [Abell Cauthon|../characters/a/abell_cauthon] are hiding in the Westwood. The rest of [Mat|Matrim Cauthon]'s family is alive. [Bran|Bran alVere] tells him again that he must leave. Folks such as [Eward Congar|../characters/e/eward_congar], [Hari Coplin|../characters/h/hari_coplin], [Cenn Buie] and [Wit Congar|../characters/uz/wit_congar] might turn him in to Lord [Bornhald|Dain Bornhald]. [Daise Congar|../characters/d/daise_congar] is now the village Wisdom. [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] thinks he means that [Geofram Bornhald] is there. [Bran|Bran alVere] tells him that [Padan Fain] is with the [Whitecloaks|Children of the Light]. [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] tells him that [Fain|Padan Fain] is a [Darkfriend|Darkfriends] and is the one who brought the [Trollocs] last year. [Bran|Bran alVere] tells him that the rest of [Mat|Matrim Cauthon]'s family[3] and the Luhhans were arrested and are being held prisoner by the [Whitecloaks|Children of the Light]. [Marin|Marin alVere] tells them that the [Whitecloaks|Children of the Light] are protecting them from the [Trollocs], but the [Aiel] scoff at this sort of "protection." [Bran|Bran alVere] tells [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] that Lord [Luc|Luc Mantear][4] is helping to organize the men. He is a [Hunters of the Horn|Horn of Valere] who arrived about the same time as the [Whitecloaks|Children of the Light]. At this point [Faile|Zarine Bashere] says she has had enough and tells [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] that he needs to accept his families' death and grieve. He breaks down and sobs in her arms.
