They all return to the camp where there are about nine hundred [Winged Guards|Mayene], about three hundred [Two Rivers] men, about three hundred of Lord [Dobraine|Dobraine Taborwin]'s people, more [Wise Ones|Aiel] and %%ot [gai'shain|Aiel]%%, and [Maidens|Maidens of the Spear] led by [Sulin]. [Masuri|Masuri Sokawa] is also there. [Edarra], [Nevarin], [Seonid|Seonid Traighan] and the [Warder] head toward her. [Berelain|Berelain sur Paendrag] has two maids and two thief-catchers with her.[1] 

[Maighdin|Morgase Trakand] is angry about the [Manetheren] banner. She reminds [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] of [Elayne|Elayne Trakand].[2] He says [Rand|Rand alThor] plans to put [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] on the throne. [Maighdin|Morgase Trakand] is angry again saying the throne is [Elayne|Elayne Trakand]'s by right, not by [Rand|Rand alThor]. 

[Aram] takes the men and [Faile|Zarine Bashere] takes the women to clean up. As they leave [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] calls [Gill|Basel Gill] by name shocking all of them. [Gill|Basel Gill] says they were on business in [Lugard], then problems chased them here. [Lini|Lini Eltring] returns and says her group was in service in [Murandy] till the house was burned. [Gill|Basel Gill] says they were in [Amador] when the [Seanchan|Seanchan (People)] invaded. This is news to [Perrin|Perrin Aybara]. [Lini|Lini Eltring] tells [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] he should marry [Tallanvor|Martyn Tallanvor] and [Maighdin|Morgase Trakand]! 

[Perrin|Perrin Aybara] leaves to go back to his tent. [Faile|Zarine Bashere] has twenty [Tairen|Tear (Country)] and [Cairhienin|Cairhien (Country)] attendants who imitate the [Aiel]. Three guarding the tent are [Lacile|Lacile Aldorwin], [Arrela|Arrela Shiego] and [Parelean]. [Faile|Zarine Bashere] offers to make [Maighdin|Morgase Trakand] and her group her servants. She accepts and leaves to tell the others. [Perrin|Perrin Aybara] tells her about the [Seanchan|Seanchan (People)]. He wants to send [Grady|Jur Grady] or [Neald|Fager Neald] to warn [Rand|Rand alThor], but [Rand|Rand alThor] insisted on absolute secrecy. [Faile|Zarine Bashere] says [Rand|Rand alThor] must have heard by now. She suggests flaunting the [Manetheren] banner to hide their true intent and he likes the idea. They begin studying maps.

That night [Faile|Zarine Bashere] sneaks out of the tent. There is a gibbous moon. She wonders if her mother, [Deira ni Ghaline|Deira Bashere], has as much trouble managing her husband. She passes the new group who are still awake and they see her. She meets with her group who have sworn fealty to her and call themselves %%ot [Cha Faile]%% - the "Falcon's Talon" in the [Old Tongue]. That morning she had sent ten of them to scout [Bethal]. [Selande|Selande Darengil], [Meralda] and [Camaille|Camaille Nolaisen] report that [Alliandre|Alliandre Maritha Kigarin] is staying at Lord [Telabin]'s palace. [Selande|Selande Darengil] is second in command. [Faile|Zarine Bashere] gives them new instructions for [Bethal].

She is calling herself [Maighdin Dorlain|Morgase Trakand], [Maighdin|Morgase Trakand] for her mother and Dorlain for a family on one of her estates. [Tallanvor|Martyn Tallanvor] comes over. [Lini|Lini Eltring] told him that she abdicated. She thinks [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] is still in the [White Tower] and wants to protect her from [Rand|Rand alThor]. [Tallanvor|Martyn Tallanvor] kisses her.
