In the manor house, [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] and [Daigian|Daigian Moseneillin] talk. [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] feels a terrible storm coming. [Daigian|Daigian Moseneillin] does not treat [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] as full [Aes Sedai] even though [Egwene|Egwene alVere] raised her and [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] to the shawl. She is teaching [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] the weaves to the test.[1] [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] has also not sworn on the [Oath Rod]. [Daigian|Daigian Moseneillin] and the other sisters with [Cadsuane|Cadsuane Melaidhrin] do not openly support either [Egwene|Egwene alVere] and the rebels or [Elaida|Elaida do Avriny aRoihan] and the [White Tower]. [Daigian|Daigian Moseneillin] still feels the loss of her [Warder|Warder] [Eben|Eben Hopwil] but she will not allow an attempt at [Healing|Weaves#h]. Would [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] want to be [Healed|Weaves] of her grief if she lost [Lan|al'Lan Mandragoran]? [Corele|Corele Hovian] suggested the lessons as a distraction for [Daigian|Daigian Moseneillin]. [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] is glad the [access key|Control Statues] that she used was destroyed.[2] It is too much power for anyone. She is glad that [Cadsuane|Cadsuane Melaidhrin] will not let [Rand|Rand alThor] have the male [access key|Control Statues] back. 

[Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] sees [Cadsuane|Cadsuane Melaidhrin] and [Corele|Corele Hovian] crossing the courtyard purposefully and hurries to join them. She sees male [Aiel] and realizes that the clan chiefs have arrived. She wonders if [Aviendha] is with them. She thinks [Rand|Rand alThor] still gets into trouble like he and [Mat|Matrim Cauthon] used to in [Emond's Field|Emonds Field]. She regrets [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] taking them away, but knows they would be dead otherwise. She goes to the largest [Aiel] tent where she finds [Rand|Rand alThor], [Bashere|Davram Bashere] and [Min|Min Farshaw] with guards. She wonders if [Rand|Rand alThor] is mad like [Semirhage] said. She thinks it is a mistake to hold [Semirhage] after her experience holding, then losing [Moghedien]. 

[Cadsuane|Cadsuane Melaidhrin] and [Corele|Corele Hovian] enter. [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] refuses to respect [Cadsuane|Cadsuane Melaidhrin]'s age; old [Cenn Buie] has the sense of a pile of rocks. Others enter, [Merise|Merise Haindehl], [Narishma|Jahar Narishma] and her other [Warder][3], [Damer Flinn], [Elza Penfell]. Finally [Rhuarc] and [Bael] arrive with [Aviendha] and other [Wise Ones|Aiel], [Amys], [Bair] and [Melaine]. [Rand|Rand alThor] unfairly chides them for not restoring order to [Arad Doman] yet. [Bael] says that [Dobraine Taborwin] has [Bandar Eban] under control, but [Alsalam|Alsalam Saeed Almadar] and the Council of Merchants have disappeared. [Rand|Rand alThor] thinks [Graendal] may have him. [Rand|Rand alThor] says they must bring peace and stop the fighting against the [Seanchan|Seanchan (People)] to show good faith for his meeting with the [Daughter of the Nine Moons|Tuon]. [Rand|Rand alThor] will personally deal with [Rodel Ituralde]. He orders [Rhuarc] and [Bael] to find and hold the members of the Council.
