[Liandrin] approaches High Lady [Suroth|Suroth Sabelle Meldarath]. They have not met before and clearly dislike each other, but they serve the same master.[1] [Liandrin] says she brought the two that [Suroth|Suroth Sabelle Meldarath] was expecting as well as the Daughter-Heir of [Andor]. [Suroth|Suroth Sabelle Meldarath] says she has to get back before [Turak|Turak Aladon] misses her. A soldier, [Elbar|elbar], grabs [Min|Min Farshaw] and [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] while a %%ot [sul'dam|Seanchan]%%, [Renna|../../characters/r/renna], collars [Egwene|Egwene alVere]. [Min|Min Farshaw] slashes [Elbar|elbar]'s hand allowing [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] to escape. [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] escapes as well. [Renna|renna] begins "educating" [Egwene|Egwene alVere]. [Suroth|Suroth Sabelle Meldarath] is supposed to take [Egwene|Egwene alVere] and [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] to [ Seanchan|../geography/seanchan/index] but she does not know why. [Liandrin] returns through the [Waygate|Ways]. Another ''[damane|Seanchan]'' is pretty, dark-haired and in her middle years.[2] Another ''[sul'dam|../../organizations/seanchan.html#d]'', [Alwhin|../../characters/a/alwhin], is much harsher than [Renna|renna]. [Renna|renna] tells [Egwene|Egwene alVere] about how [Luthair Paendrag|../characters/hist/luthair_paendrag] faced the [Armies of the Night|../organizations/seanchan.html#a] which included [Aes Sedai]. The first ''[a'dam|aDam]'' was made for [Luthair Paendrag|../characters/hist/luthair_paendrag] by [Deain|deain] who was then collared herself. If a man wears the bracelet, both the man and the ''[damane|Seanchan]'' may die screaming.[3] They ride back toward [Falme|../../geography/toman_head/falme/index].

[Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] blasts her way free and escapes. Later, she meets [Elayne|Elayne Trakand]. [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] thinks she is a failure for running, but [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] tells her to stop being stupid. [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] thinks [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] sounds like [Lini|lini]. [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] heard [Suroth|Suroth Sabelle Meldarath] mention [Falme] so they head west. [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] is worried about [Rand|Rand alThor] still being in danger, but [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] thinks [Rand|Rand alThor] is probably safe back in [Fal Dara].
