[Valan Luca]'s circus is camped a mile south of the [Eldar River]. [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] serves as the target for [Thom|Thom Merrilin]'s knife throwing. [Clarine|Clarine Anhill] made her a very daring dress. [Luca|Valan Luca] is becoming enthralled with "[Nana|Nynaeve]." [Latelle]'s dress is much more conservative. 

[Elayne|Elayne Trakand] met with [Egwene|Egwene alVere] last night. She reported fighting in [Cairhien|Cairhien (Country)] between [Cairhienin|Cairhien (Country)], brigands, [Aiel] and [Andorans|Andor] wanting the [Sun Throne|Sun Palace] for [Morgase|Morgase Trakand].[1] [Lan|al'Lan Mandragoran] is involved in the fighting and that worries [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara]. She still cannot remember the name of the place where the [Blue Ajah] is gathering.

[Luca|Valan Luca] plans to cross the river into [Ghealdan] tomorrow. The town on the other side is [Samara]. The [Prophet|Masema Dagar] is also in [Samara]. There are lots of [Whitecloaks|Children of the Light] on this side of the river. [Petra|Petra Anhill] feeds the lions. She punched [Brugh Chavana] when he flirted with her. [Aludra] is mixing up some concoction. She offers [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] some of her new "firesticks." At her wagon, [Juilin|Juilin Sandar] catches her and reports that there are [Whitecloaks|Children of the Light] in [Samara]. He recognized [Galad|Galad Damodred] from [Sienda]. She and [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] share the same wagon that [Thom|Thom Merrilin] purchased. [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] is waiting in the wagon. [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] has a black eye. [Cerandin] beat her up when [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] got abusive. No one manhandled [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] like that since she threw a bucket at [Neysa Ayellin] when she was sixteen. [Petra|Petra Anhill] finally broke up the fight after [Latelle] gave [Cerandin] a stick. They have the %%ot [a'dam|aDam]%% that [Cerandin] gave them. [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] is excited because she has figured out how it works and she thinks she could make one. If so, she could make other %%ot [ter'angreal|Angreal]%% and perhaps even %%ot [angreal|Angreal]%% and %%ot [sa'angreal|Angreal]%%. [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] tells [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] about [Galad|Galad Damodred]. [Nynaeve|Nynaeve alMeara] wants to hire the first boat they can find and get away from the menagerie.
