* [Liandrin|Liandrin (Show)] is telling Nynaeve about [Moiraine|Moiraine (Show)] choosing the [Blue Ajah] and the purpose of the [Red Ajah]. [Lan|Lan (Show)] comes up and asks if he can join, to which [Liandrin|Liandrin (Show)] replies that she's just leaving. She invites Nynaeve to the [Red Ajah] tent, which is open to all women. After she leaves, Nynaeve tells [Lan|Lan (Show)] that [Liandrin|Liandrin (Show)] is a snake. She asks [Lan|Lan (Show)] if the [White Tower] is full of women like that, to which [Lan|Lan (Show)] replies that she'll have a chance to find out. He reminds her that [Moiraine|Moiraine (Show)] and he promised to help find their friends when they got to the [White Tower]. [Lan|Lan (Show)] leaves, but as he's walking away, he invites her to the [Warder]'s fire, as long as she doesn't shove anyone into it. ([Episode 104])
* [Lan|Lan (Show)], [Stepin|Stepin (Show)], [Ihvon|Ihvon (Show)], [Maksim|Maksim (Show)] and Nynaeve are sitting around a campfire. [Stepin|Stepin (Show)] asks Nynaeve how she got stuck with [Lan|Lan (Show)], and she says that she tracked him.[4] She says that the [Warder] are more fun than they seem, but they still serve the [Aes Sedai]. [Maksim|Maksim (Show)] says that they do not. [Stepin|Stepin (Show)] explains that the bond between [warder] and [Aes Sedai] is stronger than any other bond. He explains that in the [Old Tongue], "Aes Sedai" means "Servants of All", which means they serve the world. Nynaeve then asks what does that make the [Warder]. [Lan|Lan (Show)] replies "Proud." * At the [Aes Sedai] camp, Nynaeve sees [Lan|Lan (Show)] wandering away from camp and decides to follow him. ([Episode 104])
* [Lan|Lan (Show)] explains to Nynaeve that he just finished a [Malkieri|Malkier] ritual: seven times for the seven towers of [Malkier]. Alanna motions for the other novices to leave. Alanna talks to Nynaeve about how much power she and Egwene have, but Nynaeve says that no one should have that much power. Alanna notes that Nynaeve and Egwene have been in the [White Tower] for five months, but Nynaeve hasn't ever channeled. Alanna reiterates that no one leaves without drinking their glass of water, so in rebellion, Nynaeve drinks her glass of dirty water and leaves. ([Episode 201])

Ihvon and Maksim talk about their experiences when they first got to the Tower and how the only thing that kept them going was remembering what brought them there in the first place. Maksim says that she'll save a lot of time and hurt if she can do the same. ([Episode 201])
* Nynaeve comes to [Egwene|Egwene (Show)]'s room to visit, but she's not there. ([Episode 201])

Liandrin shows how weak she thinks the [Warders] are by conjuring a sword of Air, but then saying that she wants to win any fight and then channels a weave that pushes Nynaeve back against the wall. Liandrin goes on to describe her loathing of [Warders]. Finally, in a rage, Nynaeve uses the same weave to push Liandrin back against a wall, but then Liandrin shields Nynaeve, explaining how Nynaeve can feel it but can't touch it. Liandrin's goal is to see Nynaeve so powerful that no one can control her. Liandrin releases the shield and leaves the room. ([Episode 201])

With that, %%red [Liandrin|Liandrin (Show)]%% buys some sweetcakes and leaves.

! Scene 11 - Sweetcakes

%%red [Liandrin|Liandrin (Show)]%% enters [Mat|Mat (Show)]'s room with the sweetcakes. [Mat|Mat (Show)] muses if they're poisoned. %%red [Liandrin|Liandrin (Show)]%% leaves, and as she locks the door from the outside, [Mat|Mat (Show)] mimics the motions she must do to lock the door. Once she's gone, he grabs a sweetcake and resumes work on slowly taking bricks out of a wall.

! Scene 12 - New Dormmate

[Egwene|Egwene (Show)] approaches her room and sees a lot of activity in the next room, along with nice furniture in the hallway and pillows blocking her door. A servant in deep red passes her by. She picks up the pillows and goes into the next room. Another novice is moving in and she tells [Egwene|Egwene (Show)] just to set the pillows down. [Egwene|Egwene (Show)] does, but then tells her to stop blocking her door. The new novice asks to see [Egwene|Egwene (Show)]'s room for design ideas for such a tiny place. She goes into [Egwene|Egwene (Show)]'s room and assumes that she just moved in as well, but soon after realizes her mistake. The novice tries to recover by noting the stitching on the blanket and correctly identifies it as from the [Two Rivers]. The novice smiles because she didn't think the [Tower|White Tower] would let her live with the rest of the novices. When [Egwene|Egwene (Show)] asks why, the novice says "the whole Daughter-Heir thing." When [Egwene|Egwene (Show)] shows no recognition of that, the novice introduces herself as [Elayne Trakand|Elayne (Show)], Daughter-Heir of [Andor] and hesitantly says that [Egwene|Egwene (Show)] is her subject. [Egwene|Egwene (Show)] just gives an amused smile in return and tells [Elayne|Elayne (Show)] her own name. [Elayne|Elayne (Show)] talks about how some of the greatest pairings came from novices in adjacent rooms, like [Cadsuane Melaidhrin|Cadsuane (Show)] and [Elena Katab|Elena Katab (Show)] and wonders about their own future together.

! Scene 13 - To Test or Not to Test

%%blue [Sheriam|Sheriam (Show)]%% is visiting %%green [Alanna|Alanna (Show)]%% and her two warders are present. %%green [Alanna|Alanna (Show)]%% asks if [Arinvar|Arinvar (Show)] couldn't join them but %%blue [Sheriam|Sheriam (Show)]%% says that there are some things that only [Aes Sedai] should talk about. Instead of taking the hint, %%green [Alanna|Alanna (Show)]%% sits back and starts talking about the subject with her warders present. The conversation is about %%red [Liandrin|Liandrin (Show)]%%'s plan to have [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] take the [Accepted] test. Everyone expresses their opinion. %%green [Alanna|Alanna (Show)]%% tells %%blue [Sheriam|Sheriam (Show)]%% that the reason all these women ([Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)], [Egwene|Egwene (Show)], [Elayne|Elayne (Show)] and others) and men ([Logain|Logain (Show)], [Mazrim Taim|Mazrim Taim (Show)], and others) and are being born, and with so much power, is that the [Last Battle|The Creator and the Dark One] is near. %%blue [Sheriam|Sheriam (Show)]%% seems uncomfortable with this notion. She says that %%red [Liandrin|Liandrin (Show)]%% has called for a vote on this and that %%green [Alanna|Alanna (Show)]%% will have only one vote there, not three. She gets up to leave and then notices the saddlebags ready for a journey. %%blue [Sheriam|Sheriam (Show)]%% then wonders aloud if %%green [Alanna|Alanna (Show)]%% will even be there for the vote.

! Scene 14 - Where Is She Going?

[Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] arrives at %%red [Liandrin|Liandrin (Show)]%%'s door only to find a novice with a basket full of linen closing the door. The novice tells her that %%red [Liandrin|Liandrin (Show)]%% just left and maybe if [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] is quick, she can catch her. [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] continues down the hall, catches site of %%red [Liandrin|Liandrin (Show)]%%, and continues after her. [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] follows her to an apparent dead-end, but then finds a hidden doorway to stairs down. [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] goes to the bottom of the stairs and then follows a tunnel that leads under buildings and streets and eventually into a market somewhere in [Tar Valon].

! Scene 15 - Atuan's Mill

The Hunters of the [Horn] arrive at [Atuans Mill], a town on the peninsula of [Toman Head] and decide to spend the night there and hopefully find information on [Fain|Padan Fain (Show)]. As they travel through the town, they pass through a market with some interesting foods like lionfish, which is served fermented and is something that [Loial|Loial (Show)] likes. They all go into an inn, except for [Elyas|Elyas (Show)], who tells [Perrin|Perrin (Show)] that he prefers to sleep under the stars. As they part, [Elyas|Elyas (Show)] tells [Perrin|Perrin (Show)] that the [Shienar]ans are not his pack.

! Scene 16 - Who Else Knows?

At a nighttime camp on the way to [Tar Valon], %%blue [Moiraine|Moiraine (Show)]%% and %%brown [Verin|Verin (Show)]%% chat. They are next to the [Erinin River] and can see [Tar Valon] in the distance downriver. %%brown [Verin|Verin (Show)]%% mentions the oddity of three [Fades] hunting a single [Aes Sedai]. %%brown [Verin|Verin (Show)]%% assumes it's because of one of the boys that returned with her to [Tar Valon] last autumn. She further assumes one of them is the [Dragon Reborn|The Creator and the Dark One]. %%blue [Moiraine|Moiraine (Show)]%% surreptitiously puts her hand on her dagger and asks %%brown [Verin|Verin (Show)]%% who else knows. %%blue [Moiraine|Moiraine (Show)]%% starts approaching %%brown [Verin|Verin (Show)]%% and asking if %%brown [Adeleas|Adeleas (Show)]%% or [Tomas|Tomas (Show)] knows but %%brown [Verin|Verin (Show)]%% tells her to stop. %%brown [Verin|Verin (Show)]%% looks down at %%blue [Moiraine|Moiraine (Show)]%%'s hand on her dagger and tells her that she wanted to know how far she would go for the [Dragon|The Creator and the Dark One] to lead him to victory. %%brown [Verin|Verin (Show)]%% believes that the [Red|Red Ajah] sisters are wrong to try and cage the Dragon, since the world is still broken, and needs to be healed. %%blue [Moiraine|Moiraine (Show)]%% says that some things can't be healed. %%blue [Moiraine|Moiraine (Show)]%% says she needs an oath from %%brown [Verin|Verin (Show)]%%, but %%brown [Verin|Verin (Show)]%% refuses, saying that any oath now taken may need to be broken later for the greater good, and besides they almost always have loopholes[1].

%%brown [Verin|Verin (Show)]%% says that there are books in the [Tower|White Tower] that might help. Ones that talk of prophesies at [Toman Head], battles in the sky, a sword of flame and the branded hand that wields it, and she will find them.[2]

! Scene 17 - Party in the Foregate

People are partying in the Foregate. This includes [Yann|Yann (Show)], who [Rand|Rand (Show)] is watching from afar. [Yann|Yann (Show)] finally stumbles away from the crowds and [Rand|Rand (Show)] follows. [Rand|Rand (Show)] finally gets his chance and beats [Yann|Yann (Show)] unconscious, almost using the power on him.

! Scene 18 - Being Alone Together

When [Rand|Rand (Show)] returns to his room, [Selene|Selene (Show)] is in there waiting for him. He tells her that he wants to be alone. She says that's exactly the time when people should not be alone. Then she says that the can both be alone together.

! Scene 19 - Before Breakfast or After?

[Egwene|Egwene (Show)] is giving [Elayne|Elayne (Show)] a tour of the [Tower|White Tower] and explaining the rules that novices live by when [Farina], an [Aes Sedai], passes by and acknowledges [Elayne|Elayne (Show)] as "Daughter-Heir" and then [Elayne|Elayne (Show)] responds back with her name and title, "Farina Sedai". That's when [Egwene|Egwene (Show)] realizes that [Elayne|Elayne (Show)] didn't need her explaining everything. [Elayne|Elayne (Show)] says that six summers at the [Tower|White Tower] did that, but she truly did want to chat with [Egwene|Egwene (Show)]. They then run into %%blue [Sheriam|Sheriam (Show)]%% outside their rooms. %%blue [Sheriam|Sheriam (Show)]%% wants to know the name of the woman who managed to get all the fancy furniture into the [Tower|White Tower]. [Elayne|Elayne (Show)] refuses, starting that she would take any punishment that the other woman would have received. %%blue [Sheriam|Sheriam (Show)]%% says that means [Elayne|Elayne (Show)] will be in her office, every morning for three months, feeling %%blue [Sheriam|Sheriam (Show)]%%'s switch on her shoulders. [Elayne|Elayne (Show)] accepts that and then asks if she should be in the office before or after breakfast, to which %%blue [Sheriam|Sheriam (Show)]%% replies before. [Egwene|Egwene (Show)] gives a half smirk for [Elayne|Elayne (Show)] standing up to %%blue [Sheriam|Sheriam (Show)]%%. %%blue [Sheriam|Sheriam (Show)]%% then asks [Egwene|Egwene (Show)] where [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] is, but she does not know.

! Scene 20 - A Man in Northharbor

In [Cairhien|Cairhien (City)]’s Northharbor, %%red [Liandrin|Liandrin (Show)]%% visits her son [Aludran], using diluted crimsonthorn root to alleviate his chronic pain. [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] observes from a distance, suspecting %%red [Liandrin|Liandrin (Show)]%% is misusing the root to kill a man who can channel. Noticing [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)], %%red [Liandrin|Liandrin (Show)]%% confronts her; after a conversation where [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] suggests alternative treatments, %%red [Liandrin|Liandrin (Show)]%%, frustrated, throws her out of the room.

! Scene 21 - Last Brick in the Wall

[Mat|Mat (Show)] removes the final brick from a hole he has been carving in his cell wall at the [White Tower], only to find it opens into another room, leaving him visibly disappointed. [Min|Min (Show)] then appears at the hole, and after a brief conversation, she requests a tool to widen the opening. They exchange names, formally introducing themselves to one another.

! Scene 22 - Tossed into a Pond

%%brown [Adeleas|Adeleas (Show)]%%, %%brown [Verin|Verin (Show)]%%, %%blue [Moiraine|Moiraine (Show)]%%, [Tomas|Tomas (Show)], and [Lan|Lan (Show)] sit around a campfire, where %%brown [Adeleas|Adeleas (Show)]%% recounts the story of how [Tomas|Tomas (Show)] became %%brown [Verin|Verin (Show)]%%’s [Warder]. She then asks about %%blue [Moiraine|Moiraine (Show)]%% and [Lan|Lan (Show)]’s meeting, met with a long silence before %%brown [Adeleas|Adeleas (Show)]%% begins crafting her own version. %%blue [Moiraine|Moiraine (Show)]%% interrupts, revealing the true account: near [Chachin], she trailed [Lan|Lan (Show)], suspecting him a [Darkfriend], while he thought her a mercenary sent by his [carneira]. Finding him meditating by a pond, she attempted to seize his sword, but [Lan|Lan (Show)], quick to react, grabbed her and threw her into the pond. %%brown [Adeleas|Adeleas (Show)]%% observes that a good [Warder] defends his [Aes Sedai] from a [Trolloc], but the right one protects her from herself.


! Scene 23 - Glimpses of the Pattern

[Mat|Mat (Show)] and [Min|Min (Show)] are talking to each other through a hole in the wall between them. [Min|Min (Show)] shows [Mat|Mat (Show)] a bottle of wine and then she comes through the hole and they start talking and sharing the wine. [Mat|Mat (Show)] asks her why she's in here, and she tells him that she sees glimpses of the [Pattern]. She is surprised that [Mat|Mat (Show)] doesn't want to know his future, except maybe how to get out of his room. Before she leaves, [Min|Min (Show)] sees a vision of [Mat|Mat (Show)] stabbing [Rand|Rand (Show)] with the [Ruby Dagger].

! Scene 24 - Someone That I Loved Once

In Cairhien, [Rand|Rand (Show)] and [Selene|Selene (Show)] share a bed, where [Selene|Selene (Show)] speaks of a past love who left her shattered, admitting she pretends [Rand|Rand (Show)] is him to feel whole again, a comfort she cherishes. She asks who [Rand|Rand (Show)] thinks of, and he admits to thinking of someone he wishes to forget. They acknowledge their opposing needs: [Selene|Selene (Show)] seeks to remember her past love, while [Rand|Rand (Show)] aims to forget his.

! Scene 25 - Jealousy Is Not the Best Look on You

[Elayne|Elayne (Show)] and [Egwene|Egwene (Show)] are in [Elayne|Elayne (Show)]’s room, where [Elayne|Elayne (Show)] shows [Egwene|Egwene (Show)] a fermented drink she crafted, using [Air|One Power] to accelerate the process. [Elayne|Elayne (Show)] mentions her enjoyment of tinkering, a pastime shaped by her limited friendships and restricted fun as Daughter-Heir. The conversation turns to [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)], sparked by %%blue [Sheriam|Sheriam (Show)]%%’s earlier question about her whereabouts. At the same time, [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] nears [Egwene|Egwene (Show)]’s door, ready to knock, but hears their voices from [Elayne|Elayne (Show)]’s room and listens outside. [Egwene|Egwene (Show)] vents frustration, claiming [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] has it easy while she struggles, and feels [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] is seldom there for her. [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)], looking hurt, leaves after overhearing it. [Elayne|Elayne (Show)] advises [Egwene|Egwene (Show)] against jealousy toward [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)], and though [Egwene|Egwene (Show)] denies it, [Elayne|Elayne (Show)] counters that her experience as Daughter-Heir gives her insight into such feelings.

! Scene 26 - The Three Arches

[Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] is in her room when someone knocks. She expects [Egwene|Egwene (Show)] but finds %%red [Liandrin|Liandrin (Show)]%%. [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] begins to apologize for the prior incident, but %%red [Liandrin|Liandrin (Show)]%% interrupts, stating she would undo what follows if possible, then instructs [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] to follow her. They proceed to a chamber where %%blue [Sheriam|Sheriam (Show)]%% and [Leanne] are present. A formal ceremony occurs with the following dialogue:

* [Leanne]: Then let her face what she fears. The hour waits for no woman.

They escort [Nynaeve|Nynaeve (Show)] to an adjacent room containing the [Three Arches].

! Scene 27 - I'll Continue Alone

[Lan|Lan (Show)] prepares %%blue [Moiraine|Moiraine (Show)]%%’s horse, finding the poem from [Domon] and deciding to keep it. %%blue [Moiraine|Moiraine (Show)]%% arrives and reveals that she knew she wanted [Lan|Lan (Show)] as her [Warder] after seeing three [Trollocs] staked outside a small town, their presence unfazing him. She declares he must go to the [White Tower], insisting she will continue alone. [Lan|Lan (Show)] resists, but %%blue [Moiraine|Moiraine (Show)]%% discloses the full truth of [Ishamael|Ishamael (Show)]’s presence at the [Eye of the World], admits [Rand|Rand (Show)] is alive, and states her loyalty now rests with him alone. She accuses [Lan|Lan (Show)] of failing her, noting that without %%brown [Adeleas|Adeleas (Show)]%% and %%brown [Verin|Verin (Show)]%%, she would be dead. %%green [Alanna|Alanna (Show)]%%, [Ihvon|Ihvon (Show)], and [Maksim|Maksim (Show)] approach, having agreed earlier to %%blue [Moiraine|Moiraine (Show)]%%’s request to escort [Lan|Lan (Show)] to the [White Tower], by force if needed. She asserts they were never equals and rides away, leaving him behind.

! Scene 28 - Invaders in the Night

At nighttime in [Atuan’s Mill|Atuans Mill], the [Seanchan|Seanchan (Country)] army sneaks into the village, capturing villagers as prisoners. Fighting erupts as [Perrin|Perrin (Show)] and the [Shienar]ans organize a defense, engaging the invaders. [Loial|Loial (Show)], roaring fiercely, struggles against a half-dozen [Seanchan|Seanchan (Country)] soldiers binding him with ropes. [Perrin|Perrin (Show)] intervenes, taking down two of the soldiers, freeing [Loial|Loial (Show)] to hurl the remaining [Seanchan|Seanchan (Country)] attackers aside with surprising strength. [Ingtar|Ingtar (Show)] calls for a rally, gathering the group around him. Two [damane], escorted by soldiers, then approach and unleash a weave, creating a wall of air that slams into the [Shienar]ans and their allies, knocking everyone unconscious.


! Scene 29 - May She Live Forever

[Perrin|Perrin (Show)], [Shienar]ans, and [Atuan’s Mill|Atuans Mill] residents, captured overnight by [Seanchan|Seanchan (People)], sit surrounded by guards. A [Seanchan|Seanchan (People)] leader arrives on a stepped palanquin, a structure with 20 steps per side, carried by 40-50 bearers, topped with a covered area holding the leader, [Ishamael|Ishamael (Show)], and a third figure."

! Scene 30 - A Lot More In Common

[Rand|Rand (Show)] is again traveling to work at the asylum. [Celestin|Celestin (Show)] tells him that [Yann|Yann (Show)] was attacked last night, so [Rand|Rand (Show)] is taking over his position.
He walks into the garden and sees that the patient is [Logain|Logain (Show)]. [Rand|Rand (Show)] explains that [Yann|Yann (Show)] had an accident and that he is going to fill in for him. He also says that the two of them probably have more in common that [Logain|Logain (Show)] and [Yann|Yann (Show)] did.
