[Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] and [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] begin taking names while [Steler] keeps order. Most of the people in the camp are from [Murandy]. [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] amplifies her voice with [Air|One Power] and [Fire|One Power] to shout for order. Lady [Meri do Ahlan a'Conlin] presents her recently born son [Sedrin|Sedrin aConlin]. She claims to be a direct descendent of the First Queen of [Murandy] [Katrine do Catalan a'Coralle]. [Careme Mowly] has her recently born daughter [Ellya]. [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] takes pity on [Susa Wynn] and her son [Cyril Wynn] even though he is clearly several months old. Her husband [Jac Wynn] was killed before the fighting even began. [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] recalls %%brown [Verin|Verin Mathwin]%% lecturing an [Accepted] class on local healers. Another woman has a baby [Danil].

Early afternoon they see two [Aes Sedai] ride into the camp. They are %%white [Meilyn Arganya]%% with her [Warder|Warder] [Andro] and %%red [Elaida a'Roihan|Elaida do Avriny aRoihan]%%. [Elaida|Elaida do Avriny aRoihan] has been advisor to the Queen of [Andor] for nearly three years. [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] starts to explain their presence, but [Meilyn|Meilyn Arganya] says cats in [Seleisin] know about the [Amyrlin|Aes Sedai]'s order by now. [Meilyn|Meilyn Arganya] reminds them to be back in the [White Tower] before dark. [Elaida|Elaida do Avriny aRoihan] defers to [Meilyn|Meilyn Arganya] surprising [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred].[1] [Elaida|Elaida do Avriny aRoihan] promises to visit, dismaying both [Accepted], then they ride off to the next camp. 

[Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] and [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] finish a bit late and they have to hurry back to the [White Tower]. Grooms take [Arrow] and [Siuan|Siuan Sanche]'s horse. [Steler] orders his men including [Malvin] to take care of their horses. The [Accepted] return to their rooms hoping for a bath and a hot meal, but [Katerine|Katerine Alruddin] is waiting with a summons for [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] from [Merean|Merean Redhill], the [Mistress of Novices|Aes Sedai]. [Merean|Merean Redhill] tells [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] that King [Laman|Laman Damodred] and both his brothers, [Moressin|Moressin Damodred] and [Aldecain|Aldecain Damodred], were killed yesterday. [Merean|Merean Redhill] seems to expect [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] to grieve for her uncles, but they were cruel, ambitious men who held her father[2] in contempt. %%blue [Merean|Merean Redhill]%% tells [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] that she is to stay in the [White Tower] tomorrow instead of going out with the other [Accepted], but [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] begs to be allowed to go. 

Back in her room, she shields her dreams[3] and tries to sleep but has nightmares of the [Dragon Reborn|Rand alThor]. She goes to [Siuan|Siuan Sanche]'s room and finds her also awake. They discuss what the [White Tower] could do when they find him. %%brown [Verin|Verin Mathwin]%% taught them that most mistakes made by rulers happen because they do not know history. She also taught that women cannot teach men to [channel|True Source] or vice versa. Neither of them sleeps that night.
