[Accepted] [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] and [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] stand in attendance to %%amyrlin [Tamra|Tamra Ospenya]%% and %%blue [Gitara Moroso]%% in the [Amyrlin|Aes Sedai]'s quarters. [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] is keenly interested in the battle around [Tar Valon] because her uncle started the war.[1] High Captain of the [Tower Guard|White Tower] [Azil Mareed] makes regular reports but they are not shared with [Accepted]. This is the largest battle since [Artur Hawkwing]'s time. [Tamra|Tamra Ospenya] and [Gitara|Gitara Moroso] were both [Blue Ajah]. [Gitara|Gitara Moroso] has had the [Foretelling|Weaves] before. [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] wonders if that is why [Tar Valon] was already surrounded by the army when the [Aiel] arrived[2] and hopes that she might hear one. %%gray [Temaile|Temaile Kinderode]%% and %%white [Brendas]%% had the previous shift. 

Both [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] and [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] are orphans. Their mothers died young and their fathers since they enrolled at the [White Tower].[3] %%red [Elaida a'Roihan|Elaida do Avriny aRoihan]%% was the only other to finish [novice|novices] training in three years. [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] channels to heat tea and [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] feels a tingle.[4] They hear the sound of distant trumpets.[5] [Tamra|Tamra Ospenya] sends [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] to see if there is any news. Outside in the anteroom, [Elin Warrel], the [novice|novices] on duty, is reading a book of love stories. She is three years older than [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred]. [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] chides her for reading love stories as [Aes Sedai] seldom have a love life. [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] returns to the [Amyrlin|Aes Sedai]'s quarters. %%blue [Gitara|Gitara Moroso]%% jerks to her feet and has a [Foretelling|Weaves#f]:

* "He is born again! I feel him! The [Dragon|Lews Therin Telamon] takes his first breath on the slope of [Dragonmount]! He is coming! He is coming! Light help us! Light help the world! He lies in the snow and cries like the thunder! He burns like the sun!"

then she falls over dead. %%amyrlin [Tamra|Tamra Ospenya]%% is dismayed. She [Delves|Weaves#d] her with [Air|One Power], [Water|One Power] and [Spirit|One Power]. She swears [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] and [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] to secrecy, telling them to lie if necessary, even to a sister.[6] She tells them to send in [Elin Warrel], then they may leave. [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] rues wishing to hear a [Foretelling|Weaves#f].

[#1] It is interesting that the [Aes Sedai] seem to understand what the war is about but have not widely shared that information with the Great Coalition forces.
