%%blue [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred]%% and %%blue [Siuan|Siuan Sanche]%% go down to the main dining hall for dinner. No one has mentioned the [Sun Throne|Sun Palace] to [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] since %%red [Tsutama|Tsutama Rath]%%, but she is sure that is still the plan for her. After dinner they are summoned back to %%blue [Eadyth]%% who gives them letters-of-rights for one thousand gold crowns. They will receive that much every year and more if needed.[1] [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] insists on depositing hers in the [White Tower] bank, but [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] goes to her own banker, [Ilain Dormaile]. [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred]'s family has been banking with her family for years. 

[Ilain Dormaile] tells [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] that nine days ago[2] a tall [Cairhienin|Cairhien (Country)] man dressed as a [Tower Guard|White Tower] captain giving his name as [Ries Gorthanes] tried to pry into [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred]'s affairs. She had him detained, but he bribed the guards. 
[Ilain Dormaile] had sent all of this in a letter to [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred], but [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] never received her letter, so [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] assumes that the [Tower|White Tower] confiscated it, hoping to lull her. Nevertheless, someone who does not want her on the [Sun Throne|Sun Palace] figured out the [Tower|White Tower]'s plan and is taking action. She starts planning and gives Mistress [Dormaile|Ilain Dormaile] instructions.[3] 

The next day, after asking for recommendations, [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] and [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] pay a call on [Tamore Alkohima] to order dresses. [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] orders twenty dresses while [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] embarrasses her by being parsimonious. She tries to instruct [Siuan|Siuan Sanche] in cultured protocol. Before leaving, [Moiraine|Moiraine Damodred] orders five more riding dresses in [Cairhienin|Cairhien (Country)] style with six slashes in red, green and white.[3] She will send someone to pick them up rather than have them delivered. The second part of her plan is accomplished.[4]
