[Elayne|Elayne Trakand] meets with [Sumeko|Sumeko Karistovan] and [Alise|Alise Tenjile] late at night. Another Kinswoman was just murdered, the third in the last ten days and seven before that. [Essande]'s niece [Melfane|Melfane Dawlish] is now [Elayne|Elayne Trakand]'s midwife. [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] felt a jolt of pain in her bond to [Rand|Rand alThor][1] but he is back to stone. He is [Traveling|Weaves#t] every day, southeast and far northwest.[2] [Sumeko|Sumeko Karistovan] thinks she is now Eldest with [Reanne|Reanne Corly] gone but [Alise|Alise Tenjile] argues there is no longer a [Knitting Circle|Kin] as they are no longer in [Ebou Dar]. 

[Deni|Deni Colford] enters with news that a [Red Ajah] sister is demanding an audience. [Duhara Basaheen] enters. She orders [Sumeko|Sumeko Karistovan] and [Alise|Alise Tenjile] to leave, but [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] tells them to stay. Anyone from [Elaida|Elaida do Avriny aRoihan] is unwelcome since she ordered [Elayne|Elayne Trakand]'s kidnapping. [Duhara|Duhara Basaheen] says [Ronde Macura] was flogged in front of her whole village as punishment. [Elaida|Elaida do Avriny aRoihan] sent [Duhara|Duhara Basaheen] to be [Elayne|Elayne Trakand]'s advisor. [Elaida|Elaida do Avriny aRoihan] accepts that [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] was ordered to leave by [Siuan Sanche], but [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] still must return to the [White Tower] to complete her training. [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] angrily says she was raised to the shawl by the [Amyrlin|Aes Sedai] [Egwene al'Vere] and admitted to the [Green Ajah]. She orders [Duhara|Duhara Basaheen] to leave the palace. 

After she leaves, [Sumeko|Sumeko Karistovan] and [Alise|Alise Tenjile] still have no doubt that [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] is [Aes Sedai]. They leave and [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] tries to read herself to sleep, but [Deni|Deni Colford] enters again. Master [Norry|Halwin Norry] has come with [Hark|Samwil Hark]. It is eleven days since she gave him his assignment. They enter and [Hark|Samwil Hark] reports that he followed [Mellar|Daved Hanlon] to the same house three nights including this one. It is in the [New City|Caemlyn] on Full Moon Street and belongs to Lady [Shiaine Avarhin|Mili Skane]. There are two [Aes Sedai] there and one called the other [Falion|Falion Bhoda]. The first matches [Marillin|Marillin Gemalphin] by description. [Falion|Falion Bhoda] has a [Kandori|Kandor] accent while [Marillin|Marillin Gemalphin]'s is [Caemlyn]. [Mellar|Daved Hanlon] returned and is now in his rooms. [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] has [Deni|Deni Colford] send for [Birgitte|Birgitte Trahelion], the [Aes Sedai] and their [Warder] as fast as possible. She also orders the arrest of [Mellar|Daved Hanlon]. 

[Birgitte|Birgitte Trahelion] arrives, then [Vandene|Vandene Namelle] and [Jaem]. [Sareitha|Sareitha Tomares] and [Ned Yarman] are next and [Careane|Careane Fransi] arrives last with [Tavan], [Cieryl|Cieryl Arjuna] and [Venr Kosaan]. [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] explains the plan and they head down to the stables where fifty Guardswomen join them. [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] rides [Fireheart]. [Hark|Samwil Hark] leads them through the [Mondel Gate|Caemlyn] into the [New City|Caemlyn] to the house. [Jaem] scouts the house and ties up the guard[3] who is drunk in the stable. [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] links with [Sareitha|Sareitha Tomares] and [Vandene|Vandene Namelle] links with [Careane|Careane Fransi]. [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] then weaves [Spirit|One Power] to hide their ability to [channel|True Source]. They enter the back of the house. They find [Falion|Falion Bhoda] and [Marillin|Marillin Gemalphin] with Lady [Shiaine|Mili Skane]. They shield the two [Black Ajah] and bind all three with [Air|One Power]. 

Suddenly there are sparks around [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] and the others and they lose %%ot [saidar|Said]%%. [Asne|Asne Zeramene], [Temaile Kinderode], [Chesmal|Chesmal Emry] and [Eldrith|Eldrith Jhondar] enter the room. [Asne|Asne Zeramene] has a [bent black rod] that can kill or stun at a hundred paces. [Shiaine|Mili Skane] asks why they came and if [Moridin] sent them. When [Temaile|Temaile Kinderode] says they only need [Elayne|Elayne Trakand], [Marillin|Marillin Gemalphin] says to spare [Careane|Careane Fransi] as she is also [Black|Black Ajah]. [Vandene|Vandene Namelle] stabs [Careane|Careane Fransi], a gift from [Adeleas|Adeleas Namelle]. [Chesmal|Chesmal Emry] weaves [Fire|One Power], [Earth|One Power] and [Water|One Power] and [Sareitha|Sareitha Tomares] and [Vandene|Vandene Namelle] collapse, dead. [Chesmal|Chesmal Emry] says the [Warder] will be coming now and [Elayne|Elayne Trakand] hopes that [Birgitte|Birgitte Trahelion] will run.
